In order to create an effective PowerPoint, users must first be able to create a PowerPoint. Below are resources from the internet that provide information about starting to build a PowerPoint, starting from the first slide.

 

Canva

Canva is a website that is especially useful in creative endeavors. It can help people create presentations, flyers, videos, social media posts, and so much more. In Canva's free to use mode there is a section named Presentation available on the homepage. When in the Presentation section is selected there are a large number of free Presentation Templates. Once the presentation is completed it can be downloaded in PPTX format (Microsoft PowerPoint document). Below is an example of a default presentation template.
