A exhibit honoring the work of Willie Velásquez will be on display at the Panel/Platica event. Personal items from social activist icon Willie Velasquez will be displayed at this event. He was the founder of the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project (SVREP). His organization helped paved the way for millions of Latinos to have a voice in the democratic process.
The Ozuna Library honors the life and work of Willie Velásquez. This library guide provides access to the library's resources on Mr. Velásquez's activism in championing for Mexican American and all Latino voting access and registration.
