Introduction Foundations of College Learning

Welcome to Foundations of College Learning.

After this course, students will be able to:

  • Articulate an understanding that he/she is responsible for their own experience and success in college
  • Locate and apply specific college policies and regulations
  • Identify personal strengths and weaknesses, interests, and values
  • Apply guidelines for creating effective personal goals regarding issues that face college students, such as degree plans, retention in college, to reach specific goals and make informed choices
  • Develop effective study skills, college success strategies, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understand the process involved in making rational decisions for academic, personal, and career planning
  • Gain insight into the use of Student Support Services and the Learning Resource Center
