Maintaining the official history of Texas government, the State Archives includes archival government records dating back to the 18th century, as well as newspapers, journals, books, manuscripts, photographs, historical maps, and other historical resources.
Gerard C. Gerry Rickhoff, Bexar County Clerk is pleased to announce the opening of the Spanish Archives.The Spanish Archives Department is where the oldest historical Bexar County Clerk Records dating from the early 1700's to the early 1900's, will be stored and made available for the public to view in the County Clerk's office. Ongoing plans include restoration, preservation and digitization of these precious historical records which will include access to the public via the Internet.
