eBooks: OverDrive

OverDrive E-Books

OverDrive Ebooks  can be downloaded to your computer or device and can be read in epub or Kindle format.  The Ozuna library collection contains leisure reading titles, i.e. mostly popular fiction.  We also have a growing collection of e-Audiobooks. The collection is available to students, faculty, and staff.

How it works:
You can search or browse for books as in other databases.  When you click on a book you can see a description, reviews, and see a sample to help you decide whether you want to read it:

To get to read the book, click on Borrow and you will be taken to a page to sign in:

Click on Sign in and you will be taken to the same page you use to sign in to our other databases when off campus and you sign in with your ACES and Banner ID. Once signed in you will be taken right back to the page of the book.  While OverDrive offers you the option to sign in with an OverDrive or Facebook account, you will still need to connect a "library card" in our case your ACES and Banner ID to actually borrow the book you want.

Now click on Loans and you will be presented with the options available: Kindle (you don't need to have a Kindle device, you can use the Kindle app), Read in Browswer or Epub:

If you pick Kindle, you will be taken to Amazon to download it on your device.  Read now in browser opens the book on the computer you are on.  For "Download EPUB eBook" you will need to get the Libby app (from OverDrive).  You can find the links for the Libby app by scrolling down on any of the Overdrive pages.

When your borrowing period is up (21 days) you will lose access to the book.
