Our mission is to restore dignity, hope, and trust to children traumatized by abuse and neglect. As the only Children’s Advocacy Center in Bexar County, we provide expert care and specialized services to children and adolescents who have been traumatized by abuse, neglect, or sexual abuse.
The Children's Shelter puts children first by providing a safe, trauma-focused place for children in crisis whether the need is for immediate shelter, residential treatment, foster or adoptive homes. We work to strengthen families in order to Restoring innocence. Ending the cycle of abuse.
Our mission is to provide the tools to mend their bodies and restore their dignity, their hope, and possibilities to attain self-sufficiency without abuse. That mission includes reaching out to all sectors in our community, to share our knowledge and experience, so we may enlist them in doing their share to address the intolerable increasing incidence of domestic violence. Some of our most important work has been done with children.
