The Bexar County Sheriff's Office offers free classes on spotting the signs of human trafficking and offers information on how you can sign up to host a class in your neighborhood or church.

Human Trafficking, in addition to being a violent crime, is a serious violation of human rights. Its victims are controlled and exploited for profit. Forced labor and sexual exploitation are the most common types of human trafficking.
Most trafficking victims, are often not held physically captive, but nevertheless are not free to leave their trafficker. In fact, trafficking victims’ bonds and chains are most often invisible due to the psychological and physical abuses and threats perpetrated by their traffickers.
Roy Maas' Youth Alternatives, Inc. (RMYA) has provided safety for children in crisis since 1976 with residential & counseling services to end the cycle of abuse & violence: Bridge Emergency Shelter, TurningPoint Independent Living Program for youth leaving foster care, Counseling Center with free Master's level services, MeadowLand Campus, our long-term residential programs, including a residential treatment center for children with emotional/behavioral needs from past abuse, and MeadowLand Charter School for at-risk students.
Operation Underground Railroad is leading the fight against sex trafficking and sexual exploitation with three bold strategies that make up our Global Rescue and Recovery solution.
Our work spans the globe as we assist law enforcement in rescue efforts and help provide aftercare to all those affected. While we prioritize children, we work to empower the liberation of anyone suffering at the hands of those looking to sexually exploit. We offer vital resources to authorities around the world and work tirelessly to raise awareness and meet survivors on their healing journey.
